Celebrating the Retirement of our COO, Sly Krautkramer!

After more than 47 years of dedicated service, Swiderski Equipment recently celebrated the well-deserved retirement of our Chief Operating Officer, Sly Krautkramer. Sly’s career with Swiderski Equipment began in 1977, when a 19-year-old farm kid joined Marathon Implement in the parts department. His natural talent and hard work quickly led him into sales, where he excelled, building strong relationships with customers that lasted decades. From there, Sly stepped into leadership as the Wausau Store Manager, and later added on the responsibility of managing the Mosinee store. Even while juggling responsibilities at both locations, Sly remained committed to the success of the operation, and more importantly the people there.

In time, Sly assumed the role of COO, where his leadership, mentorship, and vision helped shape the growth and success of Swiderski Equipment. Through every stage of his career, Sly’s greatest strength has been his genuine care for people— his customers, his coworkers, and his family. His example of humility, dedication, and integrity has left an indelible mark on our company culture.  Sly has been more than a leader—he has been a mentor, a boss, and a friend to many. We are grateful for his countless contributions and the positive influence he has had on so many here at SEI. His legacy of service and care will continue to inspire us long after his retirement.

Please join us in thanking Sly for his remarkable career and in wishing him and his family all the best in this next chapter.
